Belief (Iman)

Iman is far more than intellectual agreement—it is a conviction of the heart that shapes every thought, decision, and action in a Muslim's life.

Monotheism

Tawhid: The Absolute Oneness of God

Tawhid is the single most important concept in Islam. It is not merely saying "God is one"—it is an entire worldview that redefines a person's relationship with the universe.

Qadar: Understanding God's Plan

Belief in Qadar is often the most misunderstood article of faith. It does not mean fatalism.

Knowledge

Allah knows everything that has happened, is happening, and will happen.

Writing

Everything is recorded in the Preserved Tablet (al-Lawh al-Mahfuz).

Will

Nothing happens except by Allah's permission.

Creation

Allah is the Creator of all things, including our actions—but He gave us free will to choose.

Key Insight: Islam strikes a balance—you are responsible for your choices, but you trust that God's overarching plan is wise and just, even when you don't understand it.

Iman is a journey, not a destination. The greatest scholars of Islam described themselves as perpetual students of faith, always seeking to deepen their understanding and connection with God.
